Installation Guide

Every Dachi unit must be installed by a qualified, licensed electrician. Improper installation voids the warranty.

Safety first. Switch off the mains supply at the meter before opening any panel or making any connection.

Before you start

  • Confirm the stabilizer's capacity (KVA) matches the connected load. Use a higher-KVA unit if you plan to add appliances later.
  • Match the unit's phase (Single / Double / 3-Phase) to your wiring.
  • Check that your input voltage is within the stabilizer's working range (printed on the rating plate).
  • Keep the unit in a dry, ventilated space, away from direct sunlight, water and dust.

Standard installation steps

  1. Switch off the mains and the appliance circuit at the MCB / meter.
  2. Mount the unit on a wall bracket or place it on a stable flat surface at chest height. Leave at least 6 inches of clearance on all sides for ventilation.
  3. Earth connection first: connect the dedicated earth wire to the stabilizer's earth terminal. Never skip this.
  4. Connect input (mains) phase and neutral to the INPUT terminals as per the labelled diagram.
  5. Connect output phase and neutral to the OUTPUT terminals - this goes to the appliance.
  6. Tighten all terminal screws firmly with the correct screwdriver. Loose connections are the #1 cause of failures.
  7. Re-check polarity, earth, and that no bare conductor is exposed.
  8. Switch on the mains, then the stabilizer, then the appliance. The indicator should show OUTPUT OK / 220V.

Three-phase units

Main Line and 3-Phase Power Safe units have R, Y, B input and output terminals plus neutral and earth. Phase sequence matters - always test with a phase sequence meter before energising. A qualified electrician familiar with 3-phase systems must do this work.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Skipping the earth connection.
  • Reversing input and output terminals.
  • Using an under-sized stabilizer for the actual load.
  • Placing the unit in a closed cabinet without ventilation.
  • Plugging the stabilizer's output back into the mains accidentally.
