Quick answers to the most common questions about Dachi stabilizers, Power Safe and Power Board units.
Match the AC tonnage to the stabilizer KVA: up to 1.5 ton AC use a 3 KVA unit, up to 2 ton use 4 KVA, split units up to 2 ton on double-phase use a 5 KVA double-phase stabilizer. When in doubt, choose the next higher size.
They denote different grades / specifications of the sound-system stabilizer line: PA (basic), PF (mid), FC (premium). Working range, build quality and component grade improve as you move from PA to FC.
A Power Safe unit cuts off the entire downstream circuit when input voltage goes outside safe limits or when there is a serious abnormality (high voltage, low voltage, missing phase on 3-phase units). It protects all your appliances from the panel itself.
Copper-winding stabilizers run cooler, have higher efficiency, and last longer. Aluminium variants are lighter and cost less. For appliances that run for many hours daily (refrigerator, large TV, AC), we recommend copper.
Yes - always. The earth terminal on every stabilizer must be connected to a proper earthing electrode. Without earth, surge protection cannot work, and the warranty is void.
Single-phase home units can usually be installed by any qualified electrician. 3-phase, Main Line, and Power Safe units must be installed by a licensed electrician familiar with 3-phase wiring.
Stabilizers and Power Safe units come with a 2-year manufacturer warranty. Power Boards come with a 1-year warranty. See our Warranty & Service page for details.
